As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Proficiency in deep water and use of watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter swim, 2-minute water tread, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Minimum age of 18
