As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Proficient in deep water and able to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Able to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without hands - 2 min, etc.)
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years or older
