As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Ability to use watercraft in deep water (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2 min tread water without hands, etc.)
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years old or older
